Two practical notes

Put the month, not the date. "March 2027" answers the question everyone's about to ask in the comments, without committing you to a day that babies routinely ignore.

Announce in the order people expect to hear it. The person who finds out via Instagram, when they thought they'd get a phone call, remembers it. Worth ten minutes of calls before you post — a caption can wait; that one can't.

Frequently asked questions

Match it to the photo. A scan photo carries a short line well ('Coming soon'); a full family shot suits something with a bit more story. The formula that works: one detail that's true for you, plus the due date. Everything else is decoration.
